I just had to share with you the very cute pictures of my little grand niece on her quilt that I made from my own baby quilt pattern "Pick Lots Of Daisies". I know I am very biased, but I think Rilynn makes my quilt design look even better! When I designed this quilt, I also thought of a message that I wanted to free motion quilt onto the centre of it. There is a message included with the pattern that is all about the positive experiences of childhood and my wish for Rilynn. The message says in the last sentence, "pick lots of daisies" .....hence the name for the pattern. Isn't Rilynn adorable sitting on the quilt! Photos courtesy of kellylumleyphotography.com Thank You also to our lovely niece Ashley for sending along these very cute pictures! ❤️
If you are interested in purchasing the pattern, it is available in my "Shop" on the menu above or get it here Have a great week everyone and Happy Monday Listen "May" it is time for the sun to shine!☀️😊

_I am excited to announce that I now have 3 new projects and new classes in Thread Painting. Check out the Shop page to see the new patterns and the Teaching page as well! If you look at the patterns in the shop page hover over the patterns and you can see the thread painting close up! The patterns are available in PDF and hard copy format and ready to order. These 3 patterns all describe in detail how to create free standing thread painted embroidered flowers to add to small quilts. The patterns include detailed instructions, supplies required, a true photo of the flower and a design ready for you to trace and thread paint. These patterns are also available from www.craftsy.com/search?query=quiltingintheloft.com in US$ The workshop demonstrates first hand how thread paint. Depending on your learning style this is a great way to learn.
It's a culmination of a lot of work, but a real labour of love. The flowers are of course a Hibiscus Flower, A Water Lilly (& Lilly pads) and a Gaillardia Flower. Have a great Thursday! This week was one of those weeks where I got lots done but I felt like I was taking 2 steps forward and one sideways!
I hope you had a productive week and have a great weekend. Happy Friday!
After a busy summer, I finally found time to work on projects and complete some quilts that are my own designs. These designs have been made into the first 3 of Quiltingintheloft designs and they are now for sale in the shop area of this website in both PDF and hard copy formats. My patterns are affordable, colourful, creative and aimed at teaching those who buy them, new and easy techniques. So exciting!
As well, I am now a Craftsy designer and have my own pattern store in Craftsy! Check it out at craftsy.com and click on patterns and search for quiltingintheloft.com. I have an abundance of new ideas and designs which will be added to my shop as soon as possible. I hope you enjoy these patterns and many more to come. Also follow quiltingintheloft.com on Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, Pinterest and Bloglovin'. I appreciate your all of your support and interest in my work! A hint of my newest pattern design- to be released next November-- No it's not just about whats happening outside!! But it's all Canadian.
