I'm still keeping up with my promise to do 2 blocks per week in order to keep up! 12 left to go! I also tried to make these blocks very different from the previous ones but having difficulty avoiding blue and purple because they are my favourite colours :) This is from Katja Marek's wonderful book "The New Hexagon". I fell behind getting these little hexies done, so now I am doing them in two's. Only 15 more blocks left, but only 11 weeks to finish off the year! The challenge is on!! I cannot wait to see everyones blocks, I hope y'all are working on them :) The book where these block patterns originate is shown below, if you would like to purchase it click here or on the picture below: Have a great Wednesday!
It's been a while but blog posts should be a little more consistent now that I no longer have visitors, I am back in Waterloo and things are a little more normal at my home.... if there is such a thing! Check out hexagon block #35-Sharon, I just finished this last evening, centering it evaded me, but the good news is ... it's one of a kind and colourful lol!! If you wish to purchase the book from where the glove above is derived, please click on the book below and it will take you to the vendor site. Happy Friday everyone, I am off to Barrie this evening to teach Free Motion Quilting, yeah inspiring some new quilters! 😊
I'm finally back at my blogging! Yeah, I missed it but I have been so busy with a wedding, birthdays, my daughter visiting from BC, summer quilts to finish, preparing for a bridal shower and my garden that I simply have not been able to find the time! Check out some pics below of what I've been up to and if you wish to purchase the book for the Hexagon Quilt Along you can also click on the link below. Happy September and I hope the slightly cooler weather inspires you to get back to quilting as I am trying to! 👍
Hi everyone, I have been overly busy this past few weeks (and months) with travelling, my garden, teaching, preparing for my daughters upcoming bridal shower and so many quilts to quilt on my long arm, so much so that I have fallen behind on my hexagon quilt along but I believe I am only behind a week or ....two. I promise to catch up as soon as I am able!! #33 Kerry is shown below: Below is a collage of my garden courtesy of Mallory Bogaert photography! Have a great Friday! TGIF 😛👍
I am away on vacation right now but love blogging about my quilting passion so much that I am posting about the most recent block Jacqui #31. So no excuses ladies, if I can do it, anyone can! Just a recommendation.....try to do a little quilting/sewing this summer and keep that passion for this art form alive, it's better than any therapy!! If you are interested in purchasing the book, click on the picture of the book below: I hope you are in air-conditioning and/or finding a way to stay cool! 🌴

Have a great Wednesday! Stay Cool ☀️ I think we were given a break on this one, last weeks block #27 had 12 small pieces and this one only had 7! Yeah, with all activities of summer, this was a nice break. I added lots of green because we have had a dry spell. Come on rain! If you would like to purchase this book from where this block is derived, click on the book link below. Have a great Wednesday!☀️☔️
While on vacation I was able to complete 6 of the hexagon quilt along blocks. It turned out to be a great take along project. I also used my small vinyl travel tote (from my Sew N'Travel Totes Pattern) to hold my scissors, thread, needles and blocks. These blocks fit perfectly! See Below: If you would like to purchase the book we are using to make these blocks, please click on this wonderful book below it will take you to the site where you can purchase it and English piece along with us! Be sure to send in your photos of your hexagon blocks!
Happy Wednesday Everyone ❤️ |
