I just could not stay away from the blue, I love the turquoise flowers in the diamonds and just had to add the accent triangles!

I realized that we are already upon June and I did not show all of the May blocks together so they are shown below-- I am clearly using too much blue! I make them in isolation and do not look at the previous one so you can see the colours I am drawn to!! Still some Blue in my newest one for May!
So my goal for next week: Stay away from Blue and branch out in different colours. We are such creatures of habit!

Happy Wednesday and Welcome to June!?
This one was pretty easy and only 12 pieces so done in short order! I used the fabric for the diamonds as my colour wheel for the rest.

Have a Great Wednesday everyone and bask in the sunshine!☀️
This block was a whole lot easier than # 19! Yeah, I think the author knew that those doing block 19 needed a break. Down to 12 pieces from 24 (with block #19).
Don't get me wrong the book is wonderful! Just some blocks are easier than others. I was wanting the star to pop so I chose orange, maybe I wanted to feel the heat as our weather has not provided it of late! If you are interested in purchasing the book to follow along and complete these hexies, you can get it here or click on the link below:
I really like the look of Nicole with the 3 interlocking stars.
However, she has 24 pieces to her! A little tricky, just because I seemed to wonder with my concentration while laying it out! A wee bit of picking out was needed..... but still very doable. My friend and fellow Hexagon Quilt Along(er) Linda, showed me what she was up to with her blocks and so I am sharing them below:
Aren't they pretty?! Lots of purple, turquoise, pink and green. They look so neat, tidy and pressed nicely too!! (I have yet to press mine)
Thanks Linda for sharing your beautiful work! This is from the book "The New Hexagon" by Katja Marek. Want to purchase it? Click on the image below:

Happy Wednesday! ?☀️
Anyone who knows me, knows I love yellow and blue together, so I just had to do it this week! Carla is so pretty!
By the way I spoke with the author herself (via email) of "The New Hexagon" book Katja Marek and she has given me permission to link to her website and she is fully aware of this quilt along----- so send me pictures of yours so I can post them and share with others Also have a look at her website and information about her store here
Katja also has "Millefiore Quilt Along" and a Facebook group where you can see lots of hexi work happening here, it's all so inspiring, I could get lost in the Hexi vortex!
Check out also the article in the 2008 Better Homes Quilt Sampler Featured Shop here. Katja Marek's store in Kamloops BC is featured! From one Canadian quilter to another: "Congratulations Katja on inspiring quilters to think outside the box and into Hexi's!" I know I am thoroughly enjoying the book. You can purchase it by calling Katja's store (the ph number is on the website). Or get it below, you will not regret it. It is a wonderful book!

Have a great Wednesday everyone! ☀️
I visited with my sister over the weekend and she has also taken on the Hexagon Quilt Along challenge and both her blocks and my blocks are shown above. From the top row 1 is Alison's blocks, row 2 is mine, row 3 is Alison's and row 4 are mine. To me they look like the ends sliced off of old fashioned Christmas candy. Only 2 individual's works and it is so diverse!
I cannot wait to see everyone's blocks, please send in your pictures when you get a moment This weeks block is "Willa" and it's block # 14 for 2016, it is shown below:
