Quilting With Rulers for Domestic Sewing Machines- "All RULERS" * This workshop is designed to teach you to understand how to work with the new, exciting and very popular rulers for domestic sewing machines including brands such as Westalee, Handiquilter, Bernina, Angela Walters, Janome, Amanda Murphy and more. You will be shown how to master setting up your sewing machine and ruler foot . Handouts and tips for success will be shared along with step by step instructions for each style of ruler, Demonstrations and practise time will be allowed for students to create additional patterns to make the most of using their rulers. All makes and models of machines are welcome. Must be able to lower feed dogs.
This is a great class to share fabric or get together with a friends to crumb piece! (retreat friendly!)
The quilt is designed as a one-block quilt to keep it simple/modern and use up lots of fabric in the process. You will also have blank spaces to feature some free motion or ruler quilting. A free crumb piecing demo is now on YouTube here . Robin will also send you dimensions for crumb piecing so you can be ready with your "crumb sheets at the class". Quilt Sizes- approx- 18 x 18" (as shown), 27" x 27"(as shown) or 55" x 55". Your choice.
Robin has done all of the math so you don’t have to. All you have to do is come to the workshop with crumb sheets sewn up ready to be sub cut. A commercial pattern will be available very soon in my shop.
It will be great to see all of the varied creativity your group or guild will show.
The focus of the workshop will be piecing, however quilting suggestions will be discussed as well.
