Quilt Canada 2025 was held at the International Convention Center in Mississauga June 18-21. I felt it was a resounding success. The Quilt Show itself was extensive as well as the talent and the beautiful quilts and the merchant mall housed over 66 vendors at last count on the CQA website. I spent a total of 3 days and 2 evenings there. Thursday June 19 , I demonstrated Beautiful Botanicals Free Motion Quilting (an upcoming class) and Quintessential Qmatic both in the Qseries Long Arm machines. I also did a short demo on Silly Moon Rulers. I have a photo dump below of the photos I have from my work on the merchant floor, my haul of goodies and more. My favorite quilt in it's category - so well done! Also Loved this appliqué quilt, an appliqué masterpiece There were many, many, many other quilts I loved but did not a picture of the credits tag so could not post. Congratulations to all the winners, you blew me away with your finesse and talent!
The show seemed packed. Especially Thursday and busy the rest of the time so I’m thinking it was a financial success as well. I’m just one person in thousands but Canadians are eager for quilting, sewing, arts & crafts and showcases of this type. I'm happy to say I'm teaching next year at Quilt Canada 🇨🇦 in Winnipeg, Manitoba next June and I recommend you attend. I'll post details of my classes (of course over and over within the next year😛) stay tuned! I hope you enjoyed my review & Happy Thursday!❤️ I have a new blog post up on the BERNINA International site here . It's all about the features and benefits of the BERNINA Maxi Hoop for machine embroidery. I am using this hoop currently and it's a game changer in terms of getting lots of designs done all at once, completing large embroideries and more. If you are thinking about purchasing this hoop, just get it! It's really fantastic for many reasons, but please read my blog post as I have done the research for you!. Have a creative day today! 😊

Hi everyone, I know it's just after Christmas now and I am "better late than never" with my holiday message. I wish that this season, everyone has time to relax and enjoy each other as I just did with my 5 sweet grandchildren. Hence the lateness of this message. They were all here at various times with their parents (my 2 girls and spouses) and I enjoyed every minute of it. My house was a mess, dishes, laundry, food and toys strewn everywhere but we were all happy, warm and loved. No sewing happened, my sewing machines were lonely, not a creature was stirring in my studio space. Below is a photo of the only Christmas sewing/embroidery I did this year, some small gifts for friends and my sister a week or so before Christmas. I hope to do more gift sewing in 2025 and you know I will post all about it, either here in this blog or at BERNINA International's blog here: blog.bernina.com/en/?s=Robin+Bogaert What I am currently working on, some free standing lace with my BERNINA 790 PRO Wishing you all the Best for a Happy New Year and much love, health and happiness in 2025.
Please take time to rest, relax & rejuvenate because you and your family are worth it!❤️🤗 Hi there and Happy Wednesday! I just wanted to advise all of you sewist's out there who maybe need a gift idea or are in need of cosy slippers, that I just completed a tutorial for Slipper Booties "Tammy" from BERNINA 's Inspiration Magazine. Not my pattern, but I completed a blog tutorial so viewers would know in depth how to make them ( I made a minor modification). The link to the entire article and link to the FREE PATTERN DOWNLOAD FOR NOVEMBER 2024 only is here: Slipper booties "Tammy"
Enjoy this free pattern and tutorial ❤️ Hope you are having a great week despite this nail biting US election! Just wanted you to know there are still spaces left in my Machine Magic With Decorative Stitches Class Nov 12 10:30-4:30 at Stitch it Central in London, ON. Lots of learning and sew much fun! You can register at www.stitchitcentral.ca or call the store at 519-601-5901. Update: the class was a success, an intimate, small class but fun was had by all, a day to play! Hoping in the future to hold it on a Saturday so that more can attend. A picture of the students from Stitch it Central London is below. We also managed to fit in a little circular embroidery attachment demo as well.
