Hi everyone, I just thought I would share with you my monthly mini quilt for November. Really for those who have just joined me with reading my blog, this monthly mini business is a personal challenge to make some mini quilts. I started this challenge in June and plan to complete it in May 2019. A year of minis! This months mini I actually made with 2 of my neighbours as a small group activity and it was a fun little appliqué mini. This time seasonally appropriate and I am calling it "Christmas Cardinal", I love cardinals so also right up my alley. This little quilt is from a commercial pattern so I cannot share the directions or the pattern. We made this quilt with our own appliqué method with Heatnbond Lite, fused it and then appliquéd it. I also used my June Tailor Grid Marker tool to make the 60 degree diamonds in the background and fabric glued sparkly sequins at the intersections of the diamonds. You can never have enough sparkle at Christmas! Happy Tuesday!
