Fellow sewing and quilting friends often say -"oh I like that tile, wouldn't that be a great quilt pattern" or "look at those colours, I'm going to use those in the next shirt I'm making". Flowers in our gardens right now are very inspiring, hence the previous post about "Summer Blooms". Design is all around us if we pause to look. I encourage you all to take the time out to take a pic of something that inspires you and MAKE IT INTO SOMETHING, trust me you will find your happiness in what is hand crafted. This past 2 weeks I have had plenty of inspiration and some motivation to do some new landscape quilts while visiting beautiful Northern BC, Canada. We are so fortunate to live in this vast and natural country. The below pic is taken at Salmon Glacier near the border to Stewart, BC and Hyder, Alaska. Breathtaking,the camera cannot even capture it!
